while not exactly twangy - the tatuaje especiales (in both appearance and taste)
suggest cuba to me... very similar taste and a pre-light aroma to many CCs i've had.

I wouldn't say it has a twang but I was smoking a foundacion ancestral pinar del rio 1941 lonsdale, an awesome costa rican puro, with too long of a name. But either way it tastes like somewhere between an aged punch RS and a partagas churchill deluxe.

Cabaiguan
Of the super cheaps smokes the best I've had was the Flor de Copan.

One nc that I think does an ok job emulating a cc blend is the partagas cifuentes febrero. one of my favorite nc sticks.

I revisited a Davidoff Millenium and if the bands werent on, I would've bet the farm that I was smoking a CC. Anyone else ever get this? If not with the Davidoff, maybe with any another NC? I'm not talking about "the closest thing to a cuban"....but totally possessing that "Cuban twang".
Funny thing is that I was going to say the same exact cigar before I even read your thread.
