I think it worked. :-)
That's what mine said... but I was born in Cali, started school in NJ, grew up in W.Va., and went to college in Mass.

It was definitely right about one thing... I do call carbonated drinks "pop." :-)

lol kinda... We're more like where the North comes to retire.

But we do have a great concentration of Southern accents y'all!

(It should ask that question. If you consider "y'all" its own word, you're from the south lol).

It called me Midland or no accent. I think some of the questions are geared to non-US english speakers.

Midland/no accent. Pretty much right being from Phoenix, but I really do like using "y'all" :-)

It was spot on :-)

What American accent do you have?
Your Result: The Northeast

Judging by how you talk you are probably from north Jersey, New York City, Connecticut or Rhode Island. Chances are, if you are from New York City (and not those other places) people would probably be able to tell if they actually heard you speak.

W(ho)TF talks like that? How do those two words rhyme? :-)
Some of my family will say bag and beg like "baig". Same with leg, "laig". :-)

Said I was midland or don't have an accent and that "You have a good voice for TV and radio". I was in radio for 13 years, go figure. I always tried to speak "proper" english and not like most around here. Born and bred in western NC.

You may think you speak "Standard English straight out of the dictionary" but when you step away from the Great Lakes you get asked annoying questions like "Are you from Wisconsin?" or "Are you from Chicago?" Chances are you call carbonated drinks "pop."

Nailed my accent.

When you say Wisconsin, you've said it all:-)

"You have a Midland accent" is just another way of saying "you don't have an accent." You probably are from the Midland (Pennsylvania, southern Ohio, southern Indiana, southern Illinois, and Missouri) but then for all we know you could be from Florida or Charleston or one of those big southern cities like Atlanta or Dallas. You have a good voice for TV and radio.
