Nice grab! OFBB can be anywhere from "ok" to "dang that's delicious," I've tried a few years but the only one I've ever ended up with a bottle of is 2020 which in my opinions was a "just ok" year. I'm hoping I can trade it for a 2023 to commemorate Melody's birthday, but I haven't tried that hard and would want to do it locally to avoid shipping that stupid bottle. I would have to find somebody who hasn't tried it

Based on my limited experience (one sample), I'm passing on JD10 every time. Different story if I run across a JD12

Thanks Dave!
Bob, I passed on the WRBP at $119 here. The price on the JD10 ain't bad, but like Ben says, "meh".
I cracked a Stagg Jr Batch 15 last night just because I haven't had a Stagg open for a while.

Just grabbed a Ben Holladay BiB. Same store had some surprising things out on the shelves. Blantons, Bookers (2023), A Midwinters Nights Dram, JD10/12. Of course, insane prices.

Yea, me too. Most things were $50 over SRP.

Did hit up my local store to give a fiver to one of the managers. Grabbed the first bottle of Buffaloe Trace SP and a 1792 FP.

I've had some really good 1792 FP picks, Bob, hope yours is stellar.

I had some KC 9-Year Single Barrel Reserve last night, followed by some ER 10.

Tried 1792 Sweet Wheat while out for dinner with QT. Then had a second pour of the same. Very different from a lot of the wheated bourbons I've tried, I'll be on the lookout for a bottle.'

Stopped by my local store to see what they had new. BT store pick for $30, don’t mind if I do. ECBP A124 for $75, yes please. Also grabbed a New Riff single barrel. Will be cracking that one open in a bit.

I opened the new Booker's (24-01 Springfield batch) last night. I give the Booker's at least 3 weeks open before I really evaluate them, but my first impressions of this aren't great. While it has a great nose, the palate is kind of ordinary (nothing special), and there is something off-putting to me on the finish. I can't put my finger on the offending flavor. I'll try it again in June and see how it grabs me then.

Oh boy. This is what happens when a professional with a superior palate shows up. Just more proof that my palate is not that good hah. But on the plus side, less is off putting. Ethanol bite I don’t care for. This one was smooth on that front.
Can’t wait to here more of your thoughts as it opens up.

My sister in-law and her husband were in St. Augustine today and stumbled upon St. Augustine Distilling Co., which I'd never heard of. They took a tour and did some samples. The bourbons are apparently pretty tasty, especially their barrel-proof, "The Saint". They offered to grab me a bottle, but it was $200 and there's no way I'm shelling that out without tasting it first myself.

Sounds like a fun way to separate tourists from their money
