Wine, Beer, and Spirits>What beers are you enjoying?

No experience, Tom, but according to ratebeer.com the Dogfather Imperial Stout is a limited run, so it might be an idea to pick some up anyway!

Never heard of them. Part of my favorite thing about beer is buying new stuff to try on a whim. Buy some and let us know how it is.

I've been hammering on Rogue Juniper pale ales. Didn't think I would like them, but I really do.

Total Wine had this by the front door today, usually not a good sign. means they are trying too hard to sell it.

The few you listed are some of their better brews, I'm an Imperial stout whore if anything I would try that. If it isn't a winner in your eyes the rest of their lineup probably not that great. What's the pricing like? That would be the deal breaker for me.

I think the 22 ounce Dogfather Imperial was $8.99, Bill. I will probably give one a try like Brendan suggested and report back.

Carolina Blonde ... YES THE BEER. Brewed in Mooresville, NC, this brewery is primarily regional in NC, SC, parts of VA, and TN. Their flagship beer is the Carolina Blonde, but they offer some excellent IPAs and many seasonal beers. Their Irish Red Ale is fantastic as is the Carolina Strawberry Ale. I've spent a many Saturday afternoon at the brewery where they do tastings and have live accoustic music. If you get to the Charlotte/Mooresville, NC area....do stop. It'll be worth your while.

I had 3 buddies over to brew beer today, and had a bit of a beer tasting as well. Nothing "major," but all good solid brews: Surly Cynic Ale, Deschutes Mirror Pond, Houblon Chouffe IPA, Deschutes Black Butte, my homebrew dunkelweizen (really good if I do say so myself), Southern Tier Pumking, and Founders KBS. Plenty of good cheeses, veggies and fruits too. It was a fun day.

Sounds like fun, Warren. :-) :-)

Picked up a Sam Adams sampler pack, has 2 reg SA which I like , 2 Octoberfest which I like a lot, 2 White Ale....ehh 2 Winter lager....Good, 2 Old Fezziwige...first time I've had this, was pretty good and 2 Chocolate Bock....Man to borrow a phrase from a fellow Virginian it was like drinking a warm brownie except it was cold...would buy just these if they sold them for dessert.
