I went to the tour at Surly Brewing tonight. Lots of fun. Omar seems like a real 'normal' guy. He gave a lot of credit to his parents, who were there. Very nice. Sampled Furoius, Bender, Surlyfest, and CynicAle. IMO Bender deserves more praise. Stopped on the way home at Old Chicago for a bite to eat, had a 2 Hearted Ale. Its been a good night.

I've considered it, but I'm not sure I want to be the lone middle-ager standing in line amongst a thousand 20-somethings. I don't really know any other "beer geeks" locally, and it seems like the type of event where it's best to go with friends. Even at the tour last night I was sort of a loner.
