Question on the use of pectin. Are you using some pectin when wrapping the binder? If so, where?
How much and where do you use pectin on the wrapper?
This looks like fun. I think I'm going to give it a try.

I use no pectin on the binder, and the only place I use it on the wrapper is towards the head when finishing.

If you have a wrapper that is unraveling you can use pectin to fix it. You can also use it on small cracks.

You would probably be better off getting gum arabic. It's what the Cuban rollers use and most likely what other major manuf. use as well. It can be bought at health food stores as well as online.

I think the mold will only be 5.5 at most. so if i have to trim the foot the longest i could get would be 5-5.25
