Seems like a good place to post this... I've got the bug for a celestial calendar watch. Something with a true celestial complication, i.e. moving Milky Way. I'm a big fan of Patek, but this one is a little bit out of my price range. Looking for something similar, but would like to save a few hundred thousand.
:-)
Has anyone come across any other brands making this complication?

Moonphase and tide counter are about the best you'll do without getting too expensive.

For a little over 300 bucks, I bought myself a Mido fun watch.

Larry- Good for you, that's a nice watch! Mido is for someone who really appreciates watch making over fancy ads and prestige. That's a good watch for $300. I love their dive watches and have been close to buying one several times.

Best place to buy a breitling is from an authorized Dealer.
Online, i would check Jomashop.com to
see the entire selection of breitling watches... although i have heard mixed reviews on their service...

Buy it on
www.timezone.com or
www.watchnet.com and wait for someone selling one or post a WTB ad. Once you settle on a few watches and a trigger price, you can start searching. Once I settle on a watch, it's just paitience until I can find it at the realistic price I want to pay.
Don't buy watches new from a dealer unless you got deep pockets. Generally, you can get about 50% off on something you'll be the only one who knows that it was worn by someone else first.

I was looking for something to substitute for wearing my Sub Date all the time. For being 20 years old it still looks good but I want to keep it that way.
My mom got me a neat Luminox 3050 that only weighs 55 grams. I've been wearing it since Christmas day. I'm enjoying the almost nonexistent weight lol (as well as the nice trit tubes) My Sub and Explorer II have both lost their lume long ago.

I get my Seamaster Professional in a few weeks as well. Can't wait! Thank the Lord for wedding gifts!!!!

I have a leather banded Skagen for daily wear, and a Kenneth Cole I wear for dressier occasions. But this weekend, while in Dallas, I picked this up (pre-owned) as an early graduation gift to myself

The face seems kind of an off-white (parchment like) but in the sun it's pearlescent, I really like it, it has a black gator band, flawless condition, it's a limited edition 105/199 (didn't find out until after I had decided on it) to boot.
