x man 10:27 AM 01-31-2011
I saw The Platters, The Duprees, last weekend. Awesome show
Jerry Blavat puts on every yr.
Dont get me wrong, i love Clapton and Charlie Parker too, but i had never
seen the early groups, and the acoustics were awesome.

I saw Starship last month with my girlfriend and her parents. Great time. It was at a casino so free drinks and a semi-small venue. My girlfriends parents actually got the spelling of her name from the song Sara so it was cool to see it live in concert with her.

Periphery, TesseracT and Monuments.

If you've heard of more than 1 of these bands, I'm gonna be impressed!

Is that Jeff "Dumb & Dumber" Daniels? What are his live shows like?

Yeah I loved it and have been looking forward to seeing him forever.

I wanted to see John Gorka when he was in Tulsa this past week but the snow storm sorta put an end to that little adventure >.<

Show was outstanding Lumpy....Slash can rip, and Myles Kennedy is much better than Axl at this stage of the game.

Same guy yep.
He is a pretty good musician and performer James.
A buddy and I went for our birthdays in January. My friend is an accomplished guitar and banjo player himself,so musically I follow his lead lol.
Reasonable ticket price at a beautiful venue,it was worth it.Jeff writes some good stuff, blues mostly. He's good for some good belly laughs too.
A bunch of his stuff is on youtube if you're curious. :-)

To be fair, Myles only has to be awake at show time to be better than Axl :-)

Will do. He seems to have potential when not with Jim Carrey.

I don't know if Australian comedian Tim Minchin has made the US yet, but for funny songs, give him a listen!

These days, sad but true. To give Myles his due, he is one of the better rock singers I have seen live in many years.
