Did you do that editing on the phone, too?
Yes, I use an in phone editing app to create these pics.
I've never really thought about taking Cigar pics, but put a little thought into it and come up with a few good ideas and get them shot.

No offense man, but I really don't feel like a cell phone picture meets the "requirements" of the thread. I love seeing a cigar pic as much as the next guy, but this thread is for the really well planned and executed photos
:-)
That being said, I'd love to see some higher quality pics of your cigars etc.

To each their own! I was just about to comment on my enjoyment of the texture of that pic. Use of "lo-fi" equipment does not negate one's artistry- a tool is a tool is a tool. I fail to understand how a glance at this member's photo can inform you of how "well planned" that photo was.

I've tried to format these photos so they can be screen savers. Larger sizes are available
here. Just click on the all sizes button at each picture.

To me, there is no "art" in just taking a quick picture of a cigar simply resting on an ashtray. I consider the term photography as "art" or high quality. I'm just trying to encourage him to take a more artistic approach to the photo. I don't mean to come off as an elitist about it by any means though...
