That's a crispy MOON, Ron, nice lens there. Justin, I always love animal pics, thanks. Well, except for the cat.
Spent a second weekend in a row in NOLA, this time by myself, wherein I get much better results. But Ron, the
D700 got taken along, and I shot very poorly with it. (Nkkor 24mm f/2) I got much better results this time with
a D90 and a Nikkor 35mm f/1.8 AF-G lens.

Since its almost Halloween, I thought I'd share something I passed in the French Quarter on Sunday morning....yes,
those are pumpkin boobs. Too much bandana for my taste, though.

Cotswald Cottage in Greenfield Village. Dating back to the 1600's it was brought over from England brick by brick and reconstructed here

This is the little house that Henry Ford built for his grandkids on his estate, now on the campus of UofM, Dearborn.

Wow, Ron, that last one is PERFECT. The other ones are impressive, but that color and light and quality on that last one...wow.

I could get shots like that of downtown Detroit, but it's a PITA to cross the border just to get pics, now that we need passports and all even for Canada. And wandering around Motown at night with camera gear and a tripod is right out of the question!

That Chevrolet was a 1954 Corvette. Not sure of the year of the Bugatti, but I think it's a Bugatti Royale. Even during the Great Depression, a car like that would set you back well over $30,000, or more like over a half million dollars in today's dollars..... The Thunderbird is a 1956

Only time I ever crossed was RIGHT after 9/11. THAT was a trip trying to get back over.

Yeah, those canucks will let any bum in, but the American's tend to check a little more thoroughly. Wait, no offense Brad.

Some species of prehistoric crocodile, I guess. I'm sure glad that we don't have anything alive on Earth like this now...
