Maybe they were just growing hops, they do look a lot alike!

Did someone say "hops?"

My Cascades crop is coming in, should have the first real harvest since planting these 2 years ago!

Bought a 4 pack of Flying Dog Double Dog Double Pale Ale yesterday. That beer is HOPPY. puckered up my face on the first drink lol. The 11.5% alcohol content makes it a sipper for sure.

Very cool! One of my friends home-brews, but does not cultivate his own hops.

A growler of Three Floyds Gumballhead. It's been over a year since I have had it, but honestly I think some of my hopped up wheat beers are better (not all, still tweaking recipes). Don't get me wrong, I loove Gumballhead, but after having it again I was impressed by myself, haha. I think I'm too hard on my homebrews most of the time. I am a perfectionist. But this kinda put things into perspective.

Lefthand Oktoberfest....it's got plenty of that caramel many say is missing from SA's Octoberfest this year. Maybe too much. Good beer nonetheless.

I bought a mixed 6'er to try some new beers. Drank a Deschutes Twilight Summer Ale earlier. Nice, but not memorable. Drinking a Lift Bridge Farm Girl Saison now. It's not up to par with a true Belgian saison, but this would be very nice for a summer barbeque with friends. I can see myself buying more of this.
