I, too, like seeing Louie sitting with us and enjoying a peaceful, serene smoke as the sun slowly sets in the west with a bronze hue and no puffy clouds.:-)

r
of course they cant, they need that big "active members" number (statistic) to increase advertising ability.

I'm done posting about CS, just throwing this out there FWIW. :-)

Louie lives on! :-)

I think the "bling-bling" is the advertisers they want, not the members. JC only needs to build up the perception of the image. LOL!

Just some interesting reading I was doing tonight.

Cigar Aficionado Online:

"We will tailor the proposal based on advertiser goals and objectives.
Our minimum buy is $5,000 net per month.
CigarAficionado.com is open to “out of the box” ideas and will create packages that suit the needs of our clients."

http://www.mshanken.com/cigaraficion...OMedia_KIT.pdf

The Magazine (unfortunately the rate card is not published):

http://www.mshanken.com/cigaraficionado/

Check out the Sample of Advertisers in Key Categories - from what I can tell I can't find one cigar company in the list.

It is scary to think how much it probably costs to advertise in the magazine. Probably so high most cigar companies cannot even afford it.

Thank you for reading.

Richard - I wish I knew how to use photo editing software the same way you do.

I also wish I could take a picture as good as you as well.

I still have yet to check out the new site. Contacted them yesterday before 6 am about a problem logging in and have not received a response as of 10 minutes ago. All that I know is that if I go to the site and see if things have been resolved, something there locks up my computer and I have to drop off line to fix it. If they don't care about a 3 year member not being able to participate in the launch of the new site, it tells me that puff will go the way of virtually every site that the owner has touched in the past.

Alright, I lied... yesterday I wrote that I was not going back to Puff... Then I remembered there were two addresses I needed in my PM box. I got them... and now I am done.

They must not be listing the cigar companies, as there are tons of cigar ads in the magazine last time I looked...
