Another walkoff.
Too bad this one was given to us on a silver platter with Berkman and Freese out of the lineup and we still barely pulled it off.

Hey, with the way they have played so far, any win is a good win.

We actually did get some hits today for once. Valdez looked great with a push bunt and a squeeze bunt. Stubbs got on base twice, and Heisey actually came through for once.

Great game guys! I came in at the 7th and it was a close one!

If Berkman, Freese, and Beltran were in the lineup, I don't think it would have been as close. Still, Cueto and Chapman pitched a good game. Pitching was good on both sides, despite what the Cards broadcast team said.

He wasn't too bad yesterday, but he looked absolutely foolish once again today. I'm through with this cat. Ship his ass down to Louisville.
Dusty must have wanted to go back to the hotel early b/c no one in their right mind would have put piece of shyte Simon on the mound in a tie game.

Stubbs is just not a good baseball player, his 'defense' doesn't even come close to making up for his more than 1K per game and less than 1 time getting to 1st base in a game. He couldn't hit in the minors, and still struck out, but they decide to throw him in the big show anyways.
:-)
It makes you wonder how Chapman is going to fair over the course of the season when they couldn't use him a 3rd day in a row.

Chapman's in the pen. He shouldn't have been used three days straight. Dusty messed up big time putting Simon in, but he was right not to use Chapman.

But when people call for him to be a closer, he would have to pitch multiple days in a row. A lot of set-up men can pitch an inning, 3 days in a row. People want him to be a starter, but he can't last 100 pitches and needs a full 5 days rest.
:-)

Neither can Bailey and Latos at this point. I'd take Chappy over either of them.
Latos can't make it past the fifth in his first two starts. Bailey just sucks. Chapman has been great so far, it's time to stretch him back out and put him as the fourth starter in the rotation.
Cueto, Arroyo, Chapman, Leake, and Latos. I could live with that order for our rotation.

Dusty causes us to lose two straight. Arroyo should have finished the 8th, then Marshall in the ninth. We would have won 1-0.

BC has signed both Votto and Phillips longterm and is wondering why fans won't put asses in seats. Maybe if he put Chapman in the rotation, then he would sell more tickets. Remember Chapman sold out when he made his debut, and attendance was pretty high when he made his '11 debut. People will pay money to see a guy pitch between 96-106. Look in Washington, Strassburg has sold plenty of seats for their organization. Win or lose, if BC wants attendance up, put Chappy in the rotation.
