CC "sweated" through the last inning...if the Phils can get to him.

Just keep pushing his pitch count...getting to him would be better though. :-)

Then he misses home plate entirely and is called safe. :-)

Nice to see Howard get a hit. Stealing 2nd was key though...Werth's ball would have been a double play.

Yankees had a nice game going until Joba gave up the HR.

Yankees take the lead on an A-Rod double then get two more runs on a Posada single.
3 run lead going into the bottom of the 9th with Mo coming in.

Wow! That may have been the fatal blow.

Your seeing all of the Phils' weaknesses in this game.....not enough hitting, too many solo homers, bad bad bad closing pitching.

The Yankees keep coming up big.....good for them.

Theeeeeeeeeeee Yankees win. Only one win away now :-)

Yesterday we got the real Cole Hamels, tonight we got the real Brad Lidge :-)

Well, that fat lady may be warming up.

No more Phillies in 4.
No more Phillies in 5.
No more Phillies in 6.

Here are the choices left:
Phillies in 7
Yankees in 5
Yankees in 6
Yankees in 7

I like those odds.:-)

Regardless of who I was going to root for, I would not have made a bet against the Yankess. :-)

Big Win for the Yankees to come back after the Phillies tie the game. They have now also beaten the closer in each postseason series.

Nice win for the Yankees. Backs against the wall big time now.

The Phils biggest weakness of the year reared its ugly head tonight.

It was a hell of a baseball game though.

That was tough. What a great game though. Wish the Phils would have pulled it off, but again...hat's off to the Yankees. Good win!

Time to reload for tomorrow. Hopefully Lee will work the same game 1 magic and the rest of the guys will remember what to do when they get the bat in their hands.
