Whatchyoutalkinbout, Willis?
We can't win a series against the ASStros, so I'm surprised we took this series.

The Cubs couldn't win a series against a high school softball team.

Is it possible that Dusty is trying to keep Stubbs from ending up with 200+ K's? He has been getting a lot of days off recently, despite not sitting at all early in the season (read: ALL season) when he completely sucks.

I'd say it's quite possible that's what Dusty's doing. But if he truly wanted to do that, we should be seeing more of the callups out there. I don't like Sappelt that much, but since the season's over anyway, it would be nice to get an extended look at him.

Reds were officially eliminated from the Wild Card last night. I thought they were officially eliminated when the season started.

I think he deserves to swing for the fences and miss, well, more like watch strikes fly by him. If he had the AB's he would be well past 200 by now.

Do you read Daugherty's column at the Enquirer, Adam? He likes to keep bringing up Stubbs' stats vs. Heisey's stats. Heisey has more RBIs and HRs than Stubbs with less than half the plate appearances. Kinda makes me wonder.

Just saw it. It is a wonder why Stubbs plays so much despite his inability to be effective given so many plate appearances.
:-)
I just saw a stat that he has 15 HR's away from GABP, that includes 4 at Wrigley where the wind can straight carry them out.
:-)
Dusty has promised not to sit Stubbs and Arroyo down the stretch, but he has already cut down on his AB's and hasn't pinch hit/run him when he doesn't start. Dusty likely doesn't like looking like a moron, given that Stubbs is supposed to be the best leadoff hitter since Rickey.

197! Reds record, alone at the top! Tied for 7th all-time! At least he can be the league leader in something.
