Watched "Wild" last night. Really great film, makes me very much ready for this horrible winter to be over.

The Great Santini starts in 5 minutes on TCM. Great flick, not sure I'll make it through at this hour, so I'll hit the TiVo.

Watched Whiplash last night. I prayed that someone would throw a cymbal at my head. It unfortunately did not come to pass.

The Judge. Robert Downey has become a decent actor.

The Dragon Crown and Paladin Circle ... it was a night of 1 star movies on Netflix while I cleaned and packed some stuff up. I've seen more realistic dragons done in crayon by elementary school kids, kids with severe issues mind you, that were more realistic than the CGI in this movie.

The Homesman with Tommy Lee Jones.
Make sure you read the back of the DVD box on this one ore you'll be lost for the first half of the movie.

Double Feature - Birdman and The Imitation Game.
I liked one and was lukewarm to the other. Your mileage may vary.

Just watched this on on-demand. Enjoyed it, though the others in the room thought it wasn't the best.

I am so bleeping tired of shakycam; it's become nothing more than a cliched crutch of uncreative directors who don't have the skill, talent, or personnel to choreograph and film a coherent yet visually interesting - or at a bare minimum, competent - fight scene.
