Sports>New York Mets 2012 Banter

No stroke for Mac, as the Mets lose to the Nats again today! :-)
Don't look now, but the Mets are only one game above 500 and making their decent into the basement of the NL East.
Told you it was only a matter of time! :-)

Santana looked good though...and we are still in first place (tie) for one more day. :-)

Nice win over the Phillies. The team looked good tonight. Dickey had a nice outing.
kelmac07 09:24 PM 04-13-2012
Dickey looked really good...and we only had 6 hits. Great series opener against the Phillies and guess what?.............

Back in first place. :-)
kelmac07 09:23 AM 04-14-2012
Nats won last night...back in second place. :-) :-)

Mets shutout the Phillies, 5-0. for the win. Neise looks good and Wright continues to rake!! :-)
Dave128 08:12 PM 04-14-2012
Awesome game! Wright smacked a monster HR on the first pitch he saw in three days!
kelmac07 03:33 PM 04-15-2012
And the bullpen rears its ugly head in the bottom of the seventh and eight innings today...as the Phillies break open a 2-2 game with 6 runs. :-) :-)
Dave128 07:06 PM 04-15-2012
Yup..pelfrey did a nice job through six. Then the bullpen did what it does best.
kelmac07 08:37 PM 04-16-2012
Mets beat the Braves 6-1...Gee looked AWESOME!! :-)

Not a Mets fan at all here, but I went with a few of the guys in my fantasy draft. Wright, Johan, Dan Murphy and Ike Davis in backup roles. They've done well so far and I wish them all continued success. As a Twins fan it's good to Johan get some good innings under his belt with solid K #'s. Hoping he picks up his first W tomorrow.

Was all set to pop in here and say what a nice job the Mets have done so far this season.
Then I heard they are going to honor Jose Reyes when he returns to Citi field.
Honor him for what? A NLCS game 7 loss and two historic collapses?
Maybe they want to honor him for leaving and heading to a division rival?
Apparently now the Mets are backtracking a bit, saying it will only be a video tribute.
If they had any guts, they would string together a montage of him grabbing his hammy while running the bases, and taking himself out of last seasons finale.

Only the Mets! :-)
kelmac07 05:04 PM 04-17-2012
WTF??? Honor him for what??? I'm with ya on this one Dom. :-) :-)
kelmac07 06:05 AM 04-18-2012
Santana gets ROCKED and Davis was playing "throw another quarter in the merry-go-round" as the Braves hammered my Mets 9-3.
BigAsh 12:22 PM 04-18-2012
Video trib of Reyes, to the soundtrack of M.C. Hammer's "Its Hammy Time"...:-)
kelmac07 04:15 PM 04-18-2012
Mets get raked in a slugfest against the Braves, 14-6. There's the Mets I was expecting. :-) :-)
Dave128 08:32 AM 04-19-2012
Bullpen has been showing their true colors the past couple games.
kelmac07 09:06 AM 04-21-2012
And so the decline begins...after fighting to come back against the Giants adfter being down 3-1, the Mets can't get a hit with RISP and lose 4-3 in 10 innings. :-) :-)

On another note...Beltran is raking with the Cardinals. POS!!!!
kelmac07 03:40 PM 04-21-2012
Mets tried to give one away today. :-) Up 4-1 in the top of the ninth and let the Giants tie it up. But we scored one in the bottom of the night to pull out the W. :-)

No other games on so I caught the end of this. I don't care what they say, errors make for entertaining baseball. Good job Mets!
