Thinking of getting a 1911 loaded instead of the eotech. Any reason why I should get the ss over the parkerized?

The SS will be more wear resistant and rust won't be as big of a concern. Though as long as you apply a thin layer of oil over the parkerized finish rust won't be a big concern, but it will still wear more.
I'd just go with what you think looks better.

^thanks Mike I think I'll go for the SS one the difference is only $27.

I have an Acog, but just switched to Primary arms red dot with the American Defense mount.
I'm more of a Glock fan, but pictured, is a Springfield Loaded.
I have more guns, just no pictures yet. Might post some up later.

Very nice, sorry you had to get park. I have an American Classic 1911 II by Metro Arms. Made in the Philippines but it shoots great and runs perfect. It's my winter carry and it's going to be my IDPA CSP gun.

Saw this, thought of you guys. Not really a huge gun fan myself, but I am a huge personal liberties fan.

Kind of a long shot but has anyone converted their .223/5.56 AR into a .300 Blackout?
If so, barrel/silencer recommendations?

Well right now it seems from what I've read everyone likes the Noveske barrels. If you get the SBR 8" it's supposed to be one of the best on the market.
I just get annoyed that most of the barrels right now for the .300 blackout are stainless.
But there are others out there, just wondering if by some odd chance anyone has tried the AAC/Wilson Combat ones or any other .300 blackout barrels. Possibly a good one that comes in black and not stainless.

i think Palmetto State Armory has non stainless. It's outta stock tho. Noveske is $$$$$

Love that Spikes. They build those about 30mins from me here in FL, GREAT company and great people over there.

Just got mine in on Thursday, complete AAC upper. Looks good. Unfortunately I'm in cali so the 12" that I wanted was a no go and no suppressor joy for me
:-).
Just waiting for midway to restock on the cheap ammo to give her a good run.
But if I had the option I'd go Noveske with AAC on the end.

No short barrel or suppressor....so with this caliber I must ask you...Why?

I find myself asking the same question
:-).
I think the thing that drew me towards the 300 was the compatibility of all my mags and lowers, keeping the ar-15 profile versus going .308 ar-10 with all new mags. Although I have both a Noveske N-6 and LMT 308 sitting in peices(I have no idea why I have both). The cost of 300blk ammo is what was super enticing. just about 1/2 the cost of .308 packing almost the same punch.

Sorry to hear it. It seems like I'll wait and get the Noveske. Looking at cans now.
I hear ya, the ammo isn't too bad at all. Especially for such a new caliber.
