Nice to see everyone shooting vigorously.

Damn you guys are good. Great pics.
Ever think about a CA photo contest? Monthly, semi-annually, annually?

We tried a small weekly one. Winner picked the next weeks theme. It died. Lol

What was the theme again, lol. Did we ever pick another theme? I do kind of find that regimentation takes the
fun out of things for me.

:-) Brad.
Well took a trip down to the pier this morning for a bit before the rain came. Pix coming shortly.

Pulled a Justin today. I have a Nikon D70, but even when I snapped my cheapest lens on it, I still felt really bad about
my plan; to leave it in the car 24 hours a day and 365 days a year, extreme heat to bitter cold. And even though I
have three other cameras I like more, I felt bad about, if nothing more, leaving a good battery to die under those
conditions. So it was an easy decision when I saw a beat up, used D70 at Ado today for $99. I prefer to pay $75 for
a beater, its more fair that way, but I get another charger, another battery and a beater body for $99....I can leave
that one in the car without whining about it. And I may even sell the good D70 one day to my landlord.
So after telling the story, that's not ALL that Justin-ey, but don't we REALLY all know that he is gonna buy
another camera here in about a month or less? Don't we? I guess what I really pulled was a Brad.

Yeh you pulled a Brad, Brad.
:-)
Nah. Next camera I buy will be a Canon 5D mkII, and even then I'll have to sell the 60D to help fund that.

I should have some more pics after this weekend. There's a huge parade in Dearborn on Monday, and the Civil War Remembrance activities at Greenfield Village all weekend long. That should make for some interesting material!

Did you use a polarizing filter on the library one? Nice shots, BTW!

Thanks Ron, yes I do use a CPL filter. I believe that was taken with the 24-105. I was surprised how much of a difference the filter makes.

Where I really notice the CPL is in the WOODS. Makes those greens just scream out.

It was a bad angle in relation to the sun, but it was getting late and I wanted to at least try it out.
Killer! Love the evil softness.

The new Flickr sucks a55.
I tried to read EXIF data on one of my own files and I can't even do that
anymore. The page loads are egregiously slow, thumbnails won't load,
it puts way too much emphasis on what my contacts are posting, as if it
belonged right there in my face every time I visit the site. Nothing new
comes without effort, but this new iteration of FLICKR SUX.
