I took the mrs out for dinner and found a Mexican place that listed a tequila bar, so I had to check it out for myself. They had a great selection actually. I tried tha Partida anejo and it was quite nice. I'll be adding that one to my collection soon.

This is one site I came across:
http://www.tequila.net/reviews-ratings.html
The casa noble has some good reviews and is one I had a miniature of once I recognized the bottle.

Tres Generaciones Anejo - May be the BEST there is.
Other Fav's of mine are Avion Anejo, El Jimador Reposado and Espolon Reposado.
For $20 a bottle, the Espolon Rep may be the best bang for the buck.

That's cheap! Is it normally that price? Would be a no-brainer if so. Costco has two good Kirkland Tequilas that worth picking up for mixed drinks.

Love the costco tequila. Had to go with Sauza Hornitos today. Damn small town selection.

Moses... That's the regular price. I promise you this stuff kicks, and is better than a lot twice it's price. The bottle has skeletons on it. Give it a shot.

I bought a bottle about 4 years ago. Had no idea how much I paid, but enjoyed the bottle a lot. I only buy or get good stuff so assumed it cost more.

My order from Hi-Time came in Friday.
Partida anejo
El Tesoro anejo
San Matias Orgullo anejo
Picked up a bottle of El Jimador anejo locally for $20 earlier in the week.
:-)

I'm the same way, but I'm friends with the owner of my local liquor store and he pushed it on me. Love him for it. I was going through a couple of bottles of the expensive stuff a month. Now if I could only find a $30 scotch that I like more than JW Blue or Macallan, I'd have more $ for Padrons.

Have your tried any of the Indian or Japanese made "Scotch" brands? I think you'll like them quite a lot.

No, but I will now. Ty. I know some US companies out West are using smaller casks to age which gives more surface area of wood per unit of alcohol. This gives a smoother, more aged taste in a lot less time, which means less money. I'm going to give one of those a try this week.

Wow. Just grabbed a bottle of Costco silver tequila... 18.99 for a 1.75 and it's twice the tequila Patron ever hoped to be...if there is a tequila heaven, i'm there now.

Yeah, I've tried the anejo before and it's okay for the price. Went there for a cheap case of beer today and had to get this at 19 bucks for a 1.75 just to try. Very good for the price, I can sip it and it would be great as a mixer.
They have pretty much everything in the Kirkland brand.

Kirkland is my standard mixer. Good enough by itself, but a no brainer when making drinks.

Did not know. I am not a Costco member. Funny that this should come up at the wife and I are feeling out joining up.
