Actually intended to be for the Browns but I guess also applies here.:-)

LMAO!
That's how I am about the Vikes. They have all the pieces these last couple years, except for the head coach. Have NEVER liked him, and think that Frazier would be a better head coach.

Based on how they've played this year, I can't call the Vikings a real team.

1. Since I haven't said it already, thank you for your service Vic. I have a brother in Afghanistan right now and another brother that finished his tour in Iraq in January. If it weren't for people like you, people like me wouldn't be able to enjoy the freedoms we take for granted every day.
2. You can't be a Jets fan and NOT have thick skin, I've been dealing with the hate all of my life. . . It ain't easy being green. All that I'm saying is make a point, as jaded as you are toward the Jets you HAVE to admit that they have a good team and for a second year QB that only started one season in college, Sanchez is playing pretty good.
I love seeing the haters getting more and more belligerent with every Jets win!
:-)

I never said he was an HOF candidate... dude's been in the NFL for 1.2 years. He could get injured and be done in no time.

Define a real team, Vic. Miami was playing pretty good until we beat em, but I'd like to know your idea of what a 'real team' is.

I'll be dead serious for a second. Miami isn't a good team, period. Buffalo is a bad team. Vikings are a bad team. Patriots are an aging team on the decline. The best team the jets have played they lost to.
Not necessarily their fault, but the jets again have a less than difficult schedule. Green bay and Houston are probably the toughest teams they'll face, and neither is all that scary

Dan,
Not you.
Someone else on this thread mentioned there were two HOF QB's playing that game against the Vikings.

If you counted Moss as a QB, I'd agree.

Wow. Yet another example of how absolutely horrible Sanchez is, regardless of what the threads resident homer Joe might think.
when Pennington was the Jets Qb, everybody in the league knew what a popgun arm he had, even before he got hurt. And nobody took him seriously.
But, at least the guy completed a high percentage of his 5-10 yard passes.
When, like Sanchez, you only throw 5-10 passes and STILL can barely manage to complete 50% of them, that's truly pathetic.
And that last pass? My God. You can't even throw the ball 40 yards downfield?
That play was the very reason they came up with the "uncatchable ball" ruling. did the defender touch Holmes face mask? Undisputed. Did Holmes have any chance of catching that dead duck of a pass? Not in this ****ing lifetime, LOL
Holmes was falling backward, away from the ball and the defender had inside positioning. He was never going to catch that lame ass throw, and to just hand the Jets a first down inside the five when it was fourth and what 19?, is inexcusable.

I don't think Sanchez is great. I think he is playing up to his expectations for a second year QB. he is showing progress compaired to last season and that is all you can ask for. I agree he had a bad game, but The Jets won game they should have lost, so no harm no foul.
As long as he doesn't lose the game, the team has a good chance to win every game they are in.
There are plenty of Qbs in the league I would take over him, but he's not bad for a second year Qb and if he keeps getting better than he'll be pretty damn good in years to come.

Yeah, but we haven't played any real teams though, so it doesn't count.

Let's see:
The Jets have a QB that, in his rookie year, helped lead his team to the playoffs; something that even Brett Favre was not able to do for them the previous year. In the first six games in his second year he has led them to a 5-1 record.
You're right, he's terrible. He should be drummed out of the league!
:-)
Broncos fan, for the record.

Dan,
Save the
:-) and
:-) for the end of the year.
Let's keep this to reality.
They have the best record.
They have a very good defense.
They have a rejuvenated Tomlinson.
Sanchez? Jury is out on him and btw, there goes the 0 interceptions.
This is the Jets we are talking about here, remember?
10 games to go.
Even then, if they make it, the playoffs are not very receptive to them.
If there is any possible remote chance they can screw it all up, they will seize the moment to do so.
:-)

I have to admit, I am having flashbacks of the '08 season when the things went into a horrible tailspin after Thanksgiving. Up until then the Jets looked like the best team in the league.
