Tonight Stewart (tech-ninja) and I herfed and we also had quite a few good bourbons. We started with Baker's the Elijah Craig 18 at the bar. Then back on the deck I had Elijah 12 and now I'm finishing with some George T. Stagg he graciously picked up for me. It has been a great bourbon and herfing night!

Just got back from The Party Source. Picked up Elijah Craig 18, Russell's Reserve Rye, and a bottle of Reyka vodka. I know this is a bourbon thread, and I started it, lol, but if any of you enjoy the occasional vodka martini or vodka straight up or the wife enjoys vodka, Reyka is THE vodka to get. It's hands down the BEST vodka I've had to date. It's so smooth it's scary. Anyways, I'm off to have a cigar and some Russell's Rye.

A few of the smoothest, easy drinking bourbons I know of are:
Elmer T Lee 90 proof
Crown Royal Special Reserve 80 proof
Black Bush 80 proof
Early Times 80 proof
Early Times is often overlooked because it's so cheap but it is truly a mellow, easy drinking bourbon.

I think my Grandpa drank Early Times. I remember seeing bottles of that and Kesslers.
