Nice Tim.

Had a Founders Porter for lunch. Was thinking about having a Samuel Smith Oatmeal Stout.

So what do you think of Sammy Smith beers?

I've only ever had (aka only remember) their RIS and it was meh.

Just drinking a Dark Horse "One," a very nice oatmeal stout.

I'm going to pop it now. It's my first one and I've heard a lot about this Oatmeal Stout.

First of I thought this SS OS was going to be a bit thicker then it is. It's got some good flavor and well see what happens when it warms up a bit.

Tall boy Bitburger tonight. Good stuff.

I'm a fan of their Oatmeal Stout, but most of the rest aren't all that great. I agree with your assesment on the RIS.

The guy I work with loves it. He poured me a little and I have to say I liked it alot.

Drinking DFH 90.

It's not bad. I wouldn't mind compering it side by side with some other oatmeal and cream stouts.

I gotta admit, Boris the Crusher was alot better. That maybe the best OS I have had in my limited experience.

I'll look for that one Greg.

The SS OS reminds me a lot of the Lake Louie Coon Rock Cream Ale.

and how was it? I have been trying to find this stuff, as we get 21st's IPA and (supposedly horrible) watermelon wheat brew.... but no monk's blood.

Bells Expedition. Again. Maybe a Rochefort 10 later.

Very, very hard to compare those two. One's a sessionable 5% ABV English style stout where the other's a 9.4% ABV American style imperial stout.

I will agree that BORIS is very good. Next time I'm out east I'm hoping to find some DORIS.

I've only had their Bock. It was good, nothing outstanding; but then bock isn't exactly the most exciting style to begin with.
