Is anyone interested in Stubbs? I think we could get a few bats and $783 for him. And the bats might strikeout less than him.
:-)
And he sat yesterday and they won. Coincidence?

Man I'm not sure why some of you don't like Cozart. Renteria blows nuts and so did Janish. You gotta make a move at some point to either bring up the young talent or just let the veteran flounder. He is batting over .300. Hell Janish could barely see the mendoza line when he was up.

Who doesn't like Cozart? I think he is great (particularly compared to what the other options are). Frankly, he should have been up a long time ago, but they let Janish lose the job for about 2 months too long.

I must have been suffering from heatstroke when I made that post. It just looked like everyone was baggin on Cozart.

Wasn't Janish at one point 0/30?

I think at one point Janish, Gomes, Stubbs and Bruce were all 0 for 30.

Probably because Stubbs didn't play.

Arroyo didn't look good. Stubbs had a HR, but struck out 3x

4 runs in 7 innings isn't bad given their current rotation. Hell, they scored 4 on Jurjens and still the bullpen blew it. Stubbs still sucks, he swings for the fences (when he isn't watching strikes go by) and sometimes he connects (see: Adam Dunn).

I'm surprised at Stubbs' bunting ability today. He looked like an official MLB player at the plate today. If we could get him to bunt more often (successfully) and put him in the two hole, then we might have a decent team.
EDIT: we also looked great at first and third situations today.

Stubbs also had a great throw to the plate. He sure has a strong arm.
Reds win! Reds win!

1 for 3 and 2 runs, a career day.
