I couldn't get caught downtown as I had a funeral to attend..watched it on TV smoking a Cohiba Lancero. Chicago estimated the crowd at 2,000,000...so much for "only 18,000 Hawks fans in Chicago". :-)

Crazy crowds with the parade and Cubs/Sox game (good game btw :-)) going on today. Fun to watch on TV but kinda glad I didn't go. All the people I talked to said they didn't even get close to a good view. Now the search begins for championship gear once I gather up some money.

Well its finally starting to hit me...hockey season is over. Although this summer will be much more enjoyable then summers past, still cant wait for hockey to start again!

I have really enjoyed July 1st and Draft Day the last few years. Gives you a tiny bit of Hockey in your world when there is nothing else going on.

I like keeping track of the trades on Draft day in particular and which free agents move around up to and on July 1st.

I guess I can open up the '10-'11 thread right after the Awards ceremony. :-)

LOL at adam burish and Chris Pronger.
Personally i thought Pronger had the better quote when he hit him with the minors blast and saying dude had issues for talking smack 5 minutes after winning the cup.

Lots of blogging in Chicago criticizing Burish's comment and timing. Pronger always seems to get the best of the comments, especially putting the media in its place after dumb questions.

The Hawks were honored at Wrigley Field tonight by the Cubs and White Sox....very cool.

Wow, that has to be the greatest picture I have seen of the recent celebrations. Now I am a Sox fan, but having both teams in the picture makes it a lot cooler. How did that Cubs player sneak right up next to the cup though?! lol

And regarding the Burish quote, I really don't think it was the right time to be insulting another player. During the season it might be ok to get in someone's head, but after winning the cup its really not necessary.

Toews, Kane, Keith and Hossa will be on Jay Leno on Monday night with Lord Stanley's Cup. :-)

They are still apparently not fixed....Guy on Chicago sports radio said at the parade, Keith looked like the loser of a "bum fight".

I am guessing Keith will get them fixed before June 23rd in case he accepts the Norris Trophy that night. :-)

Well, I am still getting hockey a few times a week.....:-)
