There has been a lot of talk about protestors doing exactly that.

The whole airport security thing is getting out of hand. Think about it this way, our constitution enumerates certain "inalienable rights". Why are these "inalienable rights" automatically void the minute you get in line to board an airplane?
Don't you still have free speech, the right to bear arms, the freedom from illegal search & seizure, the right to due process, etc?

I have only flown once in 5 years after flying twice a month for three years straight. The worst search I was ever put through I showed up wearing shorts and flip-flops and no bags to fly home to see my daughter for the weekend.
You would have thought I had wires coming out of my shirt.
Soon it will be like the doctor's office where they make you strip down and put the paper dress on before you pass through security.

A few years ago my then 3 year old daughter went on her first flight. I was in the process of being ETS'd. My wife and she were flying back to NY for Thanksgiving.
My daughter, for some twisted reason was flagged to be search. But the idiot TSA rep didn't want my wife accompanying her. I was still inuniform to report for some more outs processing paperwork and stepped through the line to them.
I drew the line and pointed out as a minor she would be accompanied by a parent. Either I could go or my wife could could go. The guy started calling other TSA guys over because I think he thought I was going to kick his tail over it (I probably would have. Don't mess with my kid.)
Long story short turned in to a small scene until one of the local LEO's that my mom works with was assigned to the airport backed me up that the TSA guy couldn't haul a minor anywhere without a parent present.
TSA Supervisor finally showed up and cleared them.
I drive everywhere now after that.

You also have the right to not get on the plane. Why do you feel your rights are more important than others? (don't answer that, it was rhetorical)

It was because you were supposedly going overnight, with no bags to carry a change of clothes in.

TSA is starting to become political. Doesn't belong in this thread or on this forum IMHO.
:-)
No offense to anyone intended. Hugh's pic was humorous, but I don't think he intended all the commentary to follow.
