I'm on the Second Shift right now, Michael. Read the first six books last week. Funny that the writing isn't all that dynamic, but it makes me want to read it constantly. Howey can really paint a picture, or at least set up the canvas for your head to fill in the blanks. I like that, it makes the reading a lot more engaging.
If you enjoyed these books, I think you'd like DJ Molles "The Remaining" series if you haven't read them. It's a zombie series, but short on zombie and long on characters and post-apocalyptic life.

I had low expectations when I picked up the first Wool book for 99 cents, but I was quickly hooked and plowed through them. Can't wait for the next one (Dust -- due out later this year).

Thanks for the suggestion Scott -- I will check it out!

I could have sworn that Dust was already released, but Hugh's website says it's only 22% done. I think it's because I saw a "reading order" posted in a few Amazon selections.Sand is the next installment in what's supposed to be another 3 part series, I forget what the 3rd was gonna be named. He's farther along with Sand, if you can believe that. (It's only half as long as Dust, so I guess it makes sense?)

I saw a Silo story written by WJ Davies, saved it in my Amazon wishlist to make sure I at least read the sample. It's called "The Runner.
If you take a look at it let me know if it's worthwhile, will ya brother?

I'll keep watching to see what you're reading!!! :-)

I just finished The Runner by WJ Davies. It's a good read but their are some inconsistencies with the main Silo story. I don't want to go into them here because it might give too much away. For 99 cents you can't go wrong :-)
