When did you get Bluegrass? Guess I'll save the one I found for myself

Crazy. A stranger who saw me looking FB messages me and says he saw a pair in a liquor store in April and if I call and they are still there, he would grab them for me. I call the store in the 'burbs of Boston, and sure enough, they're still there. I message the guy but I don't hear back for hours and I start getting nervous.
So I reach out to our own 8lug (Mark) and ask if he's close. He picks 'em up for me, ships 'em the next morning, and Bluegrass was in my grasp.
The guy who reached out was legit. I send him a real nice 3 pack of Coobans even though he didn't have to go or ship, just for reaching out and letting me know.

Yes I do need to move it... from the bottle to the glass then from the glass to my mouf, a couple ounces at a time
:-)
I don't actually have it yet, found somebody who said they had an extra to sell but it would be a couple weeks before he could ship. He said it's mine but I haven't paid yet or anything, price after shipping was still better than I've seen in some stores around here for a recent release so I figured it's worth a try

Love it! :-)
Bluegill is the one I have. Cant lie, I was mostly after the bluegil for the name but it is tasty.
I really wanted to like bookers more then i have to the point that i gave up and sold off what i had. Country Ham is my favorite of the more recent releases and would probably buy again. I have tried almost all from 2018-present. some of the much older ones i have tried have been great though.

Definitely different strokes for different folks, Andrew. Most batches hit the right notes for me. I love the Country Ham as well, and Kentucky Chew and Teresa's Batch are backup worthy as well.
Still have the 15 and a couple 16s yet to open, but so far the pre 2018 standouts for me have been Off Your Rocker (16-05) and Front Porch Batch (17-03), which had the craziest neck pour I have ever experienced. I'm actually looking forward to open my backup when I have a bourbon friend over so they can verify.

Had a pour of the group buy bottle the local whiskey group did. It's 110%.

Waiting on your thoughts...
Took out all my EC bottles last night and realized I do not have a backup of C919 like I thought. I had a pour of C919 while commiserating

Anybody else participating in Bourbon Heritage Month this month? 30 days, 30 different bourbons, doesn't matter what they are so long as they're bourbon. Started off last night with Booker's Country Ham, shouldn't be a problem finding 30 open bottles
:-):-)

I won't hit the 30 different in 30 days but looking forward to having a few this month. Reminds me I need to stop by the local store ....

Sheet, I could almost do it with Booker's batches alone.
I may drink 30 different bourbons this month but it will be in less than 30 days. Already at 3 after last night:
Elmer T. Lee
Little Book Chapter 2
Eagle Rare

No Gabe, you would be correct.

QT drove me out about 45 miles from home to a liquor store that also has a small tasting bar. I bought pours of ORVW 10 Year, Smoke Wagon Desert Jewel and Little Book Ch. 4. The owner then kept feeding me half pours to taste, I remember Noah's Mill, 2 different Wilderness, Weller 12 and some other stuff. It's such a blur. Bought a bunch of liquor we didn't need as a thank you of sorts, only one bourbon though.
Came home and a little hair of the dog before bed.
