I went to the Bryant Lake Bowl in Uptown Minneaspolis for a couple hours tonight, first time there. What a hoot. It's a 1940's bowling alley with a great selection of taps and great foods. I sat at the bar with a fellow whos wife was hosting the "Bowling for Boobs" event to raise money for breast cancer awareness. Very pleasant guy, great cause. Had several great beers on tap; Surly Abrasive Ale, Bells Oberon, Great Divide Hades, and Founder Breakfast Stout. They probably had 12 other raft beers on tap, and lots more in bottles. Most highly recommended, will go back for sure!

Been trying brews that I am not familiar with and had a Paulander Salvador double bock, I enjoyed it.

so far this weekend, Sam Adams Summer Ale, ( I was underwhelmed), Sierra Nevada Glissade ( I was underwhelmed), and a lurking Samuel Smith Winter Warmer that was hiding in the back of the fridge. ( I was underwhelmed)

That one is no good. The wax is peeling off. Better send it to me for safe disposal.

As some other guys said, too many to list yesterday, but for me the top had to be the Barrel Aged Infamous from Pizza Port.

Pizza Port makes some really good beer. They won several medals last year at the Great American Beer Festival.

That Dreadnaught is a solid beer. I wish we got 3 Floyds out here in MA.
I had a great beer day yesterday myself! I went to the Boston Bacon & Beer Festival. There were about a dozen Northeastern Breweries represented along with probably 15-20 restaurants serving samples of dishes made with bacon/pork belly. A great time! My favorite beer of the day without a doubt was the Brooklyn Brewery Dark Matter, a brown ale aged in bourbon barrels. Delicious! The IPA from Mayflower brewing (out of Plymouth, MA) was also very delicious. One thing that really surprised me was the number of breweries doing a belgian style beer. It seems a lot of the breweries in the Northeast are not jumping on the IPA train and would rather do a belgian.

The dark Leffe's are good but I can't deny enjoying a fine pint of Guinness with a stoggie.
