Call me ole' school, I like the flower best. Delicious use of DOF.
Thanks. I didnt even notice the spider web in the image when I took it. Took it with the 70-200 f/4L. Should tried it with the Tamron 28-75 f/2.8. Although the focal length may have had the 2.8 to 4 point moot in regards to DOF.

Shark, are all these shots with your new camera, or are you still trying to kick the habit?
Those Panasonics are a drug....they take great pics and make you leave your D100 at home.

So its LIZARD DAY, is it? Of course mine has the disadvantage of having recently lost a tail.

I think I can come up with a few more FLOWERS.......
We ought to come up with an assignment for next week.....
Let's say 'Funny Signs'. Has to be posted by the morning of Wed next week.
Has to be new. My lizard shot is almost a year old. Everyone who reads all
this regularly should give it a shot.

Sure, I don't care when. Besides, anything too regimented becomes un-fun.

Great photo op coming up this weekend. Not so great for the person whose funeral I am attending,
but it is early enough on Saturday that I can drive over from Baton Rouge to New Orleans to shoot a
good bit. Out of the past 9 weekends, I have been in NO once for Mardi Gras, and counting this weekend,
THREE funerals, and once in Charlotte for Easter and again in Nashville to herf with Bill86. 7 out of the last
9 weekends I have been on the road, and I am sick of it. You would think being out of town would be just
as effective as being at HOME, the goal is NOT to be at work. But not having those days to loaf around
really wears on a person after a few months.
But again, since I am not the one going 6 feet under, I guess its all good. I will be all alone in NO,
with no one to tell me we need to hurry along, or we have to be here by this time or that. I will be able
to shoot as long as I want wherever I want. I should come up with some dynamite shots. I can't think
of a more photogenic city than New Orleans

Samyang.................great name. I think I will prefer my Sigma 10-20. Same basic effect without the
distortion........well...not as MUCH distortion, lol. Although there are times when ONLY a fisheye will do.
I will say ONE thing, though. Out of all the lenses I have ever owned, shooting ultra-wide is more fun
than any other kind of shooting I do, except for nude glamour with ANY lens. There was a time when
I would walk up to a woman in a bar and hand her my card and offer to shoot her nude. You'd be surprised
how often I was able to complete the sale.

By the way, you own
HOW MANY CAMERAS, and that's the best you could shoot that box, lol,

The fisheye will do great for shooting skateboarders up close on ramps. Lol my iPhone case has a lot of scratches over the lens protector.

BTW. The Samyang/Bower/Rokinon/Pro-optic Fisheyes and 14mms are actually really good lenses if you don't mind having to MF and use the aperature ring on the lens. MF on this is a joke though. Being a 8mm fisheye the DOF if so large that you really don't have to MF unless it's something really close. The lens body is all metal too.
