1 year for $ 7 million. He could have had that from the Yankees if he didn't trust BorASS!! Hope he gets used to losing...this year is going to a rough one on Detroit. Sorry Tom!!!

The years I think the Tigers are going to be good, they suck. So maybe with low expectations, they will actually be in the race, Mac! :-)

Which offer would you pick?

2 yrs $14M with the defending World Series Champions or 1 yr $8M for a team that will not even make the playoffs.

Johnny Damon free agency = FAIL!!!!

I would never negotiate with his firm if I was a GM or owner.

I wish Damon had signed with the Yankees too, maybe Detroit could have signed someone who wasn't on the decline.

Verlander can't do it all....maybe Dontrell Willis will suddenly become sane. :-)

Maybe he will pull a Rick Ankiel and go to the OF.

I wish Damon resigned with the Yanks too, can't say i'm too excited about Randy Winn taking his place :-)

Tigers could have a good year Tom. They do have some good young pitching behind Verlander, and a pretty decent offense.

Randy Winn didn't take Damon's place, Curtis Granderson did. Winn is going to be the 4th outfielder.

I don't think we'll know for sure until after spring training. Not like it really matters, neither Winn or Gardner can hit.
