That is exactly what I'm hoping to find at a garage sale around here. I've found two, but they are cigarette ashtrays and putting down a cigar on them is a balancing act.

Hi all, this is my first post and it's by no means my 'go to' ashtray. My daily ashpan is way more grubby than this:-)
That's cool Chris :-)

Wow! This is a great thread!
Can we turn this into a contest?
I'll supply the prizes if I can be the Judge! :-)

Here's something new I designed . . . long story.
It's now in production and scheduled to release in May 2010:
Image
It's powder coated and will be available in Brown or Black.
The Stinky Logo is a sample to show what printing will look like.
Same price point as the original stainless steel model.
It holds the same amount as the original Stinky Cigar Ashtray!
Smaller diameter is only 7-inches with a taller bowl & base. . .
Total 6-inches tall with polished stainless steel stirrups.

How many winners should we have?
I'm thinking First Place. . . Second Place and a Boobie Prize!

Vote:
Send your nomination to Stinky@StinkyCigar.com

Thanks for letting me play!

Here's my favorite ashtray. It's a marble "Alfa Romeo" ashtray from the 1960's. I paid a lot for this in a bidding war 10 years ago. I am big Alfa fan and this was a must have at the time.

That's cool!

But it's probably going to cost you your shares at the brewery, everyone knows that Sierra Nevada doesn't come in clear glass.

Cool ashtrays boyz!!!

Stinky- We could certainly do some sort of contest but as the originator of this thread all prizes would have to first be verified by me for functionality and durability.

JK :-)

I made an ashtray out of clay.

Then I used it outside, left it there, it rained and now its a clump of clay.

. . . but of course! :-) After all . . . you started it! I'll send you a stirrup! (can you weld?) :-)

Seriously though: I think you should start a new thread. I still worry about improperly promoting my line. Some cigar forums are REAL fricken annal about it. I'm just havin fun and don't want anyone to think I'm getting rich on the 'backs' of cigar enthusiasts! It's a part of my hobby . . . like a side job!

Anyway, if you really want to start a contest, let us see photos of your hand crafted "Cigar Ashtrays" and we'll vote on it. Be sure to create some contest rules and the deadline or end date.

Here are some things I'm working on:
