And another mistake to Teixeira. Collins left him in one hitter too long.
:-)
Now let's score some runs and get the kid off the hook. Oh wait, I forgot...we're playing at CitiField.

I fully expect him to bring the :-) 's back to the thread, and restore peace and order to the galaxy.

No need for any of those. We ran into a hot pitcher and our bats seem to SUCK at home this year.
And we're still not in last place.

I'd say you're half-right there, brother. The Mets do seem to suck at Citi, at least when it comes to hitting . . . or actually, lack of same. I'm not so sure you ran into a hot pitcher though, since from what I've seen so far, Tanaka is a GOOD pitcher, and may even prove to be a great one. There is a difference.

Unique gift the Mets presented Jeter with.

Mets fall to the Yankees, 1-0. The kids looked AWESOME for their MLB debuts...deGrom & Whitley. Great game to watch. Betances just shut us down.

I guess the Mets should've saved some of their runs for later in the week?

Mets scored 21 runs in two games at Yankee Stadium and NONE at Citifield. This has been the story of the season, so far. Granderson also hits two HRs at Yankee Stadium, but can't get to the warning track at Citifield.

Citi Field definitely seems to be a pitcher's park. Maybe the Mets should get 'em a few.
:-)
Mac's right about those two rookie hurlers last night. Both were great, and both deserved a win.

Nice job by the rookies last night. Mets need to learn how to hit and get runs in their own ball park.
Suck it, Yankees!

Mets lose to the Nats tonight, 5-2. Werth robbed Murphy of a three run HR in the top of the ninth to preserve the win. Neise gave up all the runs in the first few innings.
Same thing as last year is happening...we play the Yankees tough and then FALL APART!!! Wright continues to look LOST at the plate...specifically with runners in scoring position.
:-) :-) :-)
(on the brighter side, the Philllies lost too and hold on to sole possession of last place in the NL East)

Mets FINALLY beat the Nationals, 5-2. Colon went eight strong innings and Lagares showed why he should be the starting CF.

Mets drop another one to the Nats, 6-3. And fall back into a tie for last place in the NL East.

At least we're tied for last place and not alone in that position.

Mets get kicked around by the Dodgers last night, 9-4. Montero looked good up until the 5th, then he imploded. We are now officially in last place in the NL East all by ourselves.
