Pavelski is one of the only guys I would KEEP if I was a Sharks GM, Tony, maybe Couture and Wingels and then blow up the rest. They're going to need a bunch of luck to sneak into the playoffs this year.

Guess it depends on how close you think they are to winning. I'm not much of a fan of making the playoffs knowing you have no chance to win. By getting rid of him, you know you can get a big return. Have to give to get, and it would be sad to see him go but I think the return in a few years would be worth it. What makes it hard is having Thornton and Marleau right now. I don't care what their numbers are, they are the main reason the team is able to stay at the cusp of the playoffs. Tough situation, and will be another rough offseason for them.
Just somebody PLEASE knock the Kings out!

Don't worry just yet - we're all waiting for the annual epic collapse of the Jets....
..... Probably as soon as they put Leaky Pav back in goal.

Understood, Tony, just wondering what return would be enough for Pavelski...the guy is a stud.
I think Maurice is sold on MH in net for the majority of your games, Neil, but time will tell.

I sure hope so, the kid has been solid. Now with a good D in front of him, he looks even better.
Now if they would stop taking stupid penalties....
icehog3 03:59 PM 03-03-2015
Yeah, are they #1 in penalties per game, Neil?

Highest in the league total and minutes per games - over 350 already, clear of next contender, Pittsburgh by about 20!

New Boston Bruins forward Brett Connolly might have to wait a while before he can show his new team what he brings to the table. Connolly left practice early Wednesday after taking a Dennis Seidenberg shot to his right hand. It was just Connolly’s second practice with the team after being acquired Monday morning from the Tampa Bay Lightning for two second-round draft picks. Bruins coach Claude Julien offered little update on Connolly after practice, although Julien did say Connolly will see the team’s doctor.
I blame Rask

I had a bad meal at Union Oyster House in Boston once.
I blame Rask for that too....

Lived in Boston for 18yrs, used to walk by the Union Oyster House every day, little bit of coolness for you, the Bell In Hand tavern on the corner of that building is not only the oldest tavern, but in the show I Dream of Jeannie, Major Nelson had a bar sign behind his front door on the wall, it was the sign from The Bell in Hand... I loved that show growing up (I was from Satellite Beach, the town next to Cocoa Beach where Tony and Jeannie lived), so as soon as I saw the sign hanging outside the bar I recognized it. Now what was I saying .. oh yah ... Rask sucks.
WILMINGTON, Mass. -- Newly acquired Boston Bruins forward Brett Connolly broke a finger on his right hand and will be out six weeks.
Connolly was hit in the hand by a puck during Wednesday's practice at Ristuccia Arena. He exited the ice early and was examined by the team's hand specialist.
The Bruins acquired Connolly on Monday from the Tampa Bay Lightning in exchange for a pair of second-round draft picks in 2015 and 2016. The former first-rounder practiced with the Bruins on Tuesday and was participating in drills Wednesday when the shot hit his right hand and broke his finger.

Fixed.

I haven't been on CA in months. My first time back and I stumble across this post. I love ya Mike and this brought a smile to my face.
:-)
I've been enjoying the bits and pieces of Wings' games I've caught this year. I love how the young players have progressed, especially Tatar.

Wings have a great chance to come out of the East, Mike. How cool would it be if the Hawks could get through (without Kane 1 or 2 rounds), and have a Hawks-Wings SCF?

Not only does Ottawa make silly laws and impose taxes, they also have an annoying little hockey team that seems to be on a roll. Sens downed the Jets last night, even chasing poor Hutch from goal. (Although the rotten swines gave the Wild 2 valuable points)
Sooner or later.....
Now the Avs lose MacKinnon with a fractured foot....
:-)

Feel for mackinnon... I broke 3 toes in my left foot last August ... Don't get better fast ( left foot is still swollen ).

I hear ya, what a wacky season it has been

Looks like I am going to be rooting for the Blackhawks in the playoffs this year

Nudge nudge Tom

Welcome aboard, Don! We just need to get through the first round and hopefully Kane will be ready a little early.

:-) Don't get me wrong, I still love the Avs but I think this season had been disappointing to a certain degree. One of the bright points was signing Iginla, who has played well for us and helped with some leadership too.
Nice win for the Avs last night, Varly with his 5th shutout this season
:-)
