Gomes performance yesterday was long overdue. Hoping his homers yesterday are motivation for the
entire team.

I miss the days of Johnny Bench,Pete Rose, Joe Morgan,Tony Perez, Dave Concepcion, Ken Griffey
all great players. Reds fanbase was massive back then. I didn't hear as much smack and trash talking
about the team as I do today.

There will probably never be another team like it. The Big Red Machine and the '27 Yankees come only once in a blue moon.

Hopefully Gomes can keep producing. I hate it for him, b/c he's a good guy, but unfortunately a good personality alone doesn't win baseball games.

Leake was the man yesterday as well. It's about time a pitcher in the rotation can give us 8 innings of baseball in one game.

Volquez looked decent tonight. Lowered his ERA a bit, cut his hair, and looks like he's got a slight bit more discipline on the mound. What's the bullpen going to do with virtually two days off? 8 innings by Leake yesterday, now 7 by Volquez.
