Padron 3000 Maduro

A three year old Padron 1964 Anniversary Diplomatico Maduro; paired it with a cup of Green Mountain Dark Magic coffee. What a wonderful, relaxing hour and forty-five minutes out in my screened porch communing with nature and contemplating the cosmos!

Tatuaje Pudgy Mummy :-)
I liked this one more than the other Pudgy I'd had... Jason. (I think)

Had a fausto and a 601 blue last night. That was my first 601 and it was every bit as tasty as you guys have talked about. Had some small burn issues with it, but it's only been in the humi for a week or so from cbid. Gonna let them sit for a while before giving em another go. I have an anejo #49 on deck for tonight if the rain doesn't bring the cold weather back with it.

LaFlor Dominicana Air Bender. Smooth chocolate undertones on this one and a tighter draw than I'm used to but it is good for a rainy morning smoke.

I have some Rocky Patel "The Edge" torps in maduro and I pulled one out to cut from the box that says 63% humidity. The cigar crumbled as I tried to cut it like a stack of saltine crackers. Boo Hiss.

Somehow I dont think these will come back to usable life.

Give them time. It may take weeks or months for them to fully "recover".

A) Is your hygrometer analog or digital?
B) Have you calibrated it?
C) How long has the box been at 63% RH?

Illusione Rothschild. Very nice and not typical of other Nicaraguans I have smoked.

Digital radio Shack.
calibrated a year ago.
A few hours at 63%. Yesterday before starting it was at 57%.

I brought out my pipes and cleaned them and I have considerable pipe tobacco which is apparently all still moist and good. One tin of Squadron Commander is solid like a brick so no longer good.

Im planning to pack the dry ones away in a tupperdor with humidification and put the new ones in the humidor with hygrometer. Then they can take the weeks or longer if they want. I will check them once a month I think maybe.

Those with cracked skins are dead Im sure. Those still intact may come back I hope.

Its all good. Pipes are good too!

I would replace the battery and recalibrate.

A few hours is nowhere near long enough. At least a week or two for them to stabilize.
