I wonder if they sent you the $60 special and sent the other guy the more expensive one without
the touchy dial? Of course they said that one was REALLY touchy................. Well, that and.....
I TOLD YOU TO GET A MEMORY CARD AND A LENS, DAMMIT!
Now, MY LENS is no indicator of future performance of anyone's else's used lens, BUT IF IT IS
EVEN CLOSE,
this would be a good lens for you to have...
For long shots anyway....

I have that backpack. it is physically a little small on the outside, but it is REALLY great
on the inside. It won't handle a metric ton of gear, but it carries more than any sane person
would carry out into the field without a alpaca or a car. I think you will love it. It SAYS it
will handle 2 bodies and 3-4 lenses and that is true to an extent, but with two bodies, they
need to be all small lenses. Maybe one long lens lying down and 2 small lenses. But the
OVERALL amount of carrying places on it is superior in every other way. Like I said, if you
go into the field with more than this bag can carry, you are crazy anyway. Good choice.
One of the only new items I have bought since I started having nice cameras. Would buy it
again used in a second. I use the outside stretch pouch for a clean t-shirt on long hikes.
In terms of size, though, this is like a kid's backpack. It works out in the end, but it is small.

Yeh the guy I work with recommended it. It's cheaper than most dslr packs too.

I love the battery grip too. It's very comfy and makes it much nicer to take portrait oriented photos.

I draw the line at fancy grips, buddy....lol.
Well this is the weekend I give my sister her "new" dinosaur Nikon D70. Its gonna be fun to break all this crap out.
She is as excited as me. I won't even tell her that I am already entertaining a jump to something more modern.
(I am TRYING to keep it from myself, too). I also picked up a second Olympus E-330 body for my nephew, the first one
didn't have a working flash, which at first did not bother me, it took fantastic photos. But the more I thought about
it, the more I felt bad about it, so I found another one for $60 (first had been $99) and by sheer luck, the flash on
that one worked fine. SO for $60 I ended up getting him a working flash, a spare body, a spare battery, spare charger,
spare strap and the FIRST manual out of the two deals. So the three of us will all have our "new" DSLRs this weekend,
and the nephew is off to college soon, so he'll definitely get some use out of his grad present. What a good feeling
that almost trumps the 10 hour drive.

Sweet. Weren't u gonna give her the d100?
I love the battery grip. Got the backpack in today and the 1tbhd. It's a 2.5" small form factor. I love that. It's also USB 3.0 and so is my desktop so transfer is relatively quick compared to 2.0

Just messing around. The cats liked to investigate my speedlight. So I set it off with the camera while taking a pic of them. Looks like they're plotting, thus the picture title.

Any thoughts on a good flash for my wifes D90? Our anniversary is coming up and instead of the old flowers and dinner thing I was going to get her something she can actually use.
If you also have any thoughts on a medium size camera bag, that would be helpful too.

The canon 200eg bag is good and not pricey. How much u wanna spend on a flash?
