For the second straight night, the PITCHEr provides the only RBI in the game for the Mets. Another loss for deGrom when he pitched a gem. That's like 14 consecutive quality starts and the offense doesn't hit when he pitches. Not enjoying this cellar dwelling. :-) :-)

Reds looked even suckier than that against the Mets today. Stephenson, just called up from AAA ball, gave up a four pitch walk to the Mets' starter today, while bases were loaded. Reds radio announcer Jeff Brantley said "Folks, I don't think I've ever seen that before."

That was really bad.

Mets finally give deGrom some run support today as we beat the Reds, 8-0. deGrom pitched a 10K gem and lowered his league leading ERA to 1.77.
