I'm not sure that's a step up. I know their customer service is very good but lately I've heard bad reviews on their product.

Really? Cuz I only hear pretty much all positive things about xikar.
My Xikar has worked like a champ for over a year with no issues. Then xikar has a 100% guarantee if something goes wrong...

Lighters aren't bad. Mine was good for about a year and a half before it took a dump, was too lazy to send it in and bought a used IM Corona instead which has been going strong for 3 years now.
But a good business move for Xikar.

That is a good move by Xikar, but I think I am the only person who has a good Colibri. I have had it for more than two tears and it still works great. I don't use it all the time, but it works great every time I pull it out.

The only thing is I could buy a Xikar lighter on cbid for more than 20% off already. I love the Xikar lighters but I think the MSRP on them is a bit high.

It is a tad high, but I think that is to pay for the lifetime guarantee... so I don't mind the premium...I will probably send it my lighter just to get it serviced and tuned up a bit.

I have the Guiness Firebird and the silver Executive - both work well.

I have a Colibri that has worked like a champ for years (of course I have never used any other torch lighter to compare). It is a great gunmetal color, nice heavy weight, and has a fold out punch. Love the lighter and I am sad to see the company go.

Either way it's still cool that they would offer up a program like this.

I'm sorry Colibri left before I had the opportunity to stick my three lighters up their A$$.
