All Cigar Discussion>An alternative for Central FL smokers

Pretty much all of us Central Florida cigar smokers are familiar with Corona Cigar Company. They have 3 huge locations, along with the massive selection that goes along with such large stores. I find their prices to be pretty fair. No great bargains, but not ridiculously overpriced either.

Now, I don't dislike Corona at all. But I was looking for an alternative. I have found it in Backroom Cigar Corporation in Kissimmee. In addition to being closer to my house, I really like the place. Again, they have fair prices, but the real bonus is the atmosphere. The owners welcome new customers and regulars alike with open arms and a warm smile. They are knowledgeable and provide excellent customer service.

They average about one event a month, and have lockers available for rental. Last week, they had an Altadis event with a "Buy 4, get one free" special, and an impressive spread of food and drinks. I brought my wife there the other day and I wound up smoking, drinking, and playing a couple of games of Wii bowling.

This place is quickly becoming my regular hangout. It's nice to have a good B&M close by that is run by nice people.

*I define fair prices as prices within 5-10% of MSRP.

I went in again today, smoked a Trinidad 100th Anniversary Toro. Darn fine smoke.

Oh, and since I bought the last one in the box, he gave me the box. It's a gorgeous box.

Its always comforting to find a new "home away from home" in this hobby, especially with the onslaught anti-smoking legislation....

:-) Fortunately counting Blue Smoke, where Scott works, there are several nice B&M's near me with great atmosphere to sit and enjoy a smoke.

Christian, if you haven't done so already, you may want to place your new favorite B&M here:

http://www.cigarplaces.com/

That way, people visiting or maybe locals searching can locate this B&M too:-)

Cool:-) Nice addition and they have a web site. If I was back in that area of the country, I could attend their Camacho event on Feb 26...

Last night, I was hanging out there, and a soldier came in wearing his fatigues. I was near the register when he was paying, and I heard the owner say "I'm giving you a 30% discount."

The soldier tried to protest with "Ah, man, you don't have to do that," but the owner insisted.

The soldier seemed a little choked up by the gesture. Before he left, all of us in the shop thanked him for his service.

I'm an even bigger fan of the place now.
