I'm fairly sure this hasn't been up and running here....so I'll give it a go.

Last October I bought my first home. Shortly thereafter, I got the boot from my job due to the economy.

So the budget is tight, the house is ugly, and here is the progress thus far....would love to see other's work as well as any tips, stories of lumber launched from the table saw, etc. :-)

Bath before....

After (still have to install the door/mirror for the medicine cabinet)

I'll see if I can dig up some more.

I'd say that's a very nice improvement.

Looked kind of like a gas station bathroom before.

Looks good now.

Thanks, the space difference isn't shown well in the pics, but before there was 2' between the toilet and tub. I took out the wall, redid the plumbing, and replaced everything. Now at least I have some room to stretch out for my morning....shower.

My grandpa lost 1 and a half fingers to a table saw by wearing a glove.

Never wear a glove using power tools. :-)

Nice work Adam.
Always great to do yourself and save lots of money.
I am getting ready to soon tear out my last bathroom to remodel in the house.
Holding off due to economy and fear of having to assist the kids.

Little weekend project for the computer room. I had some left over slate from our foyer so I decided to tile the half wall comming up the stairs. I ripped each piece to width and the cut each 16" in to 3's. Then I had to file down the edges. Now I just need to paint over that white primer..

Looks good! I used the same slate tile for the back splash in the kitchen. and thinking of using my leftover in the shower stall in the master bath. Will have to post pics.

We just remodeled our bathroom. Tub, surround, toilet, fixtures, and porcelain tile floor. Having some issues with the grout on the floor but everything else is hunky dory.
