I did a little research and COC is funded by the Altria Group which owns Phillip Morris which owns John Middleton, Inc., which makes Black & Milds... COC is currently funding other consumer research in tobacco products. Looks like the average compensation for those studies is about $200 for 2 days of participation.

Thanks Kaiser, I'm definitely checking into this more. They've been running similar ads for smokeless tobacco for months and I never followed through. Maybe I can double dip (pun intended).
