Just got a laptop but don't have an antivirus program. Are there any free antivirus programs that are good?
:-)

I used AVG for years with no issues. Just make sure you check for updates whenever you can.

AVG Free for me and anyone who's computer I work on.
Can't tell you how many viruses I've seen kill people's windows installations with Macafee or Norton installed. AVG rarely lets one by.

Used both Avast and AVG when I did computer work. Liked both. AVG found things that the customer's Norton or McAfee never saw.

Another vote for AVG.
http://free.avg.com. Have it on all my home WinXP computers and hand it out to people at work who ask for home recommendations. (I'm the IT Manager)
But I run Avast on my Vista machine. For some reason AVG wouldn't stay running on that one.
