Let there be no doubt this pilot is a hero.

First off, he is a former US Fighter Pilot with the Air Force.
Next, he landed that plane safely with no lives lost.
Lastly, he walkedd the plane TWO times, back and forth, to make sure no one was left onboard and was the last to leave the plane.
That man is amazing!

The whole thing is very scary, and hits home a bit...

I flew US Airways out of Charlotte (the destination of the crashed plane) just TODAY

Mad props due to the pilot for the safest landing possible!
