Sucks for Jobs to have to go through this. Yet, I'm sure all of the people he berates will welcome the time-away. Even if his day-to-day involvement with Apple go to nothing; the company will stand. They are in great shape financially and Jobs has surrounded himself with enough quality people that their products will continue to succeed.

Sad to see, but like Doc said, Jobs has surrounded himself with like-minded people and I think they will be ok.

I wish the best for him - he and his team have certainly brought us things better than I could ever think up! However, since he has never named a successor, and rumors are rampant - after hours trading already has the stock down 7%.

Interesting. Especially since they released more information about his health within the last several weeks. It will put a little more downside pressure on the stock until investors get more clarity on a succession plan.
