Got a humidor lid that's sticking from the cedar sap holding it shut. Anyone have ideas on how to clear that off without chemicals possibly tainting the cigars?

I would try everclear. Pretty good at cutting through goop and imparts no smell. I use it all the time on my pipes.

Just for fun, I asked Google Gemini AI what solvent removes tree sap. It suggested isopropyl alcohol. I’m sure markem’s suggestion of everclear would also work.

Yeah, and besides, everclear TASTES so much better than isopropyl alcohol, why use it as cleaning solution for anything except your innards? :-)
