So fellow inmates in the South, how did you fare? We got 5.5" on Tuesday and it was cold enough so that it remained until today. It's probably all going to be gone by the end of the day.
I spent a lot of time around snow in my youth, so it's nice. It does snow here every couple of years, but it accumulation is a rare event. So for a lot of folks around here this is a once-in-a lifetime experience. It was fun to see all the neighborhood kids playing in it and building snowmen. They may never do it again, at least around here.

Fun seeing all of the pictures from friends and colleagues
I have seen everything from 2 inches in Houston to around 8 inches in Lake Charles. The freezing temps have been brutal on some of the operating plants.
Hopefully the landscaping and water pipes made it through for you James.

Little late in posting but here we only got freezing rain and sleet. Iced up the porches and ground for about two days and now it's back to near 80 degrees.

Yep, nice and warm here. We went from almost half a foot of snow to 70F and grass coming out of dormancy in eight days.
