I just saw this myself. Somewhat eerie that his death was strangely similar to the fate his character John Garrett in the TV show Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. suffered, where he was killed after life-saving medical treatments.

Rest in peace, sir. You will be missed.

Great character actor, and some great starring performances too. Check out "One Flase Move" and "Fragility".

R.I.P., Mr. Paxton.

Sad news about a good hometown guy who grew up on the golf course I currently belong to. His parents still lived here last I heard, but that's been a while so they may have moved on now too.

That stinks. He was in a lot of great flicks. I love Twister. Goodspeed Bill.

The only actor to be killed by a Terminator, a Predator and an Alien. Rest in Peace, Bill.

OK, this is freaky weird. The My9 Network has been airing reruns of S.H.I.E.L.D. in original order, and this Sunday's just by happenstance was the one I referenced above. I had forgotten it was so key an episode that it even had a guest appearance by Samuel L. Jackson.

Somehow I feel I've said goodbye to Paxton properly now.

I think you mean Frailty, and yep, that's a damned good movie. Paxton directed it, too.

You are absolutely correct, James. I had forgotten that he directed it as well.

I need to watch that again. Matthew McConaughey was great in it, and I'm always happy to see Powers Boothe show up in a flick.
