Yesterday afternoon I was sitting in the garage smoking a Perdomo Lot 23, and directly across the street a bald eagle just dropped out of the sky, grabbed a squirrel, and took off. He flew down the street to gain altitude and then flew away. I live in the suburbs, and while I see wildlife from time to time, I've never seen something like this. Un-freaking-believable. 😳

Wow!!! I've had a hawk come over my shoulder when I was cycling down the road to grab a rabbit out of the middle of the road in front of me. It was definitely a WTF moment!!

I catch the same family of red tailed hawks flying over my house almost daily, but on the rare occasion I see a bald eagle; It makes my day. I love the sounds they make.
I saw one pull a fish out of the lake last summer. I watched it fly around for 20m before I decided to get my camera out of my car. It had landed on a tree branch directly over my car. Missed the photo by a few seconds. It's the one that got away for me.

Cool story.
I saw peregrine falcon go after a small rat in the parking lot next to my old house. He friggin' missed it! Swooped down, try to grab it and then was flapping his feathers trying to get airborne again...

Bald Eagles are cool as hell. Saw a bunch while kyaking up in Maine this past summer.
We have the biggest, fattest red tail hawk in our neighborhood. When it flies overhead, it blots out the sun. He landed on the railing of our deck last year, but I wasn't quick enough with the camera. He was GI-NORMOUS! Gorgeous bird.

We have several bald eagles that live about 2 miles from the house and agreed it is awe inspiring to see them up close in their natural habitat.
Red tails are all over our area and if we go downtown there are about 10 or more peregrine's that the city built nests for on the taller buildings to help control the pigeon population.

That's all great unless you're the rabbit! It still had to be awesome to see.

I don't know how Boston College is the "Eagles" when I have never seen an eagle near by. Plenty of falcons and hawks...

Cool! I've seen owls pick up cats from my front porch, and several times while walking the dog at night have had close encounters we owls and bats as they've buzzed us.

I have two hawks that hang out on my place. I am seeing Bald Eagles in various places around my part of the world too.
