I'd like to state for the record that June 17th, 2015 was one HOT day in Charleston, SC. My Vantage Vue weather station said heat index of 120 and temp of 99 at 3:32 p.m. yesterday. Suppose to be much of the same for the next week or more. I HATE cold weather and love a good sweltering summer day, so I'm in Hog Heaven!! My AC bill is going to break the bank, but bring it on!!!
Flip flops and a pair of shorts...

I complain all winter long about the cold, so I won't complain about the heat...I'm with you, Jamie, bring it on.

I don't like the heat. I don't like the cold. I don't like much of anything.

The cold, I like as most places are warmer than Butte, MT in the winter.
The hot, I can't handle, but below about 90, I'm fine. In spite of being the PNW, we do not have high humidity with our heat - relatively dry, which I prefer. Did I mention that it is 66* right now?

I grew up in New England and loved the cold weather. I never liked the heat, especially heat and high humidity. During my Air Force career I always requested assignments to Alaska, Colorado, Washington, etc. The USAF would laugh at me and send me to the Mojave Desert, Tucson, Shreveport, and rotate me regularly to Central America and the Middle East. All the while I kept trying to get to the cold places.
Towards the end of my career I visited my folks in Indianapolis a few winters in a row. I shoveled the snow for them, scraped the ice from their cars, all that stuff. And I realized that I still like the cold, but I'm a bit older now and my back, one shoulder, and one knee are shot. And winter's hard on bad joints.
So here I am, retired from the USAF on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. It's 91 degrees with 65% humidity. But that's what a/c is for. As for shoveling snow? You can KMA, snow!

Another scorcher today and the next couple of days. Highs around 100, heat indexes in the 110s. The air was hot and thick when leaving for work this morning. Ocean temp is 87F. Summer is here, Baby!

We cooled down to 105 today. Almost chilly. Tomorrow the prediction is back up to 112. That's an honest fry-an-egg-on-the-sidewalk 112.
:-)
Couple days ago we were around 114. I love it.
